"No Other Land," a film that covers the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, recently earned the Academy Award for best documentary feature: " The film chronicles the experience of Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist, as he films his community of Masafer Yatta being destroyed by Israel’s occupation.  During the course of the project, he builds an unlikely alliance with an Israeli journalist, Yuval Abraham, who joins his fight."

Join us for a free screening of the film, open to all members of the UVA community. Refreshments will be provided after the film.

The event is sponsored by The Department of Middle Eastern and South Asian Languages and Cultures, the Islamic Worlds Initiative, and the Institute of the Humanities and Global Cultures.

Walk-ins are welcome but advanced registration is appreciated so that we may plan accordingly.  No names or email addresses need to be submitted to register.
