Book Celebration

The IHGC is pleased to support UVA faculty’s various book projects through sponsored book talks for select texts and through our annual Book Celebration held in the spring.  During the celebration, the UVA community is invited to attend, meet the author, and receive free copies of the newly-released books!  Department chairs receive an invitation each year to submit information on their faculty members’ new books.  Contact Professor Jack Chen for additional information and monitor our Events page for more details on the upcoming celebration!

Pop-Up Book Launches

In addition to the Book Celebration, the IHGC has limited funding to support pop-up book launches throughout the year.  The IHGC Advisory Board nominates faculty for these featured events.  Interested faculty members may contact a board member to submit their book for consideration.  The board member making the nomination agrees to host the event and lead its coordination.
